Zusammenfassung
The aim of this article is to analyze the reception of the translation of André Breton’s Perspective cavalière (1970) by the Ministry of Information and Tourism during the Francoist dictatorship. Through the censorship files of Perspectiva caballeresca (1971) and Magia cotidiana (1975), we will see the crucial role the reputation of publishing houses played in obtaining preliminary acceptance of their translations. Despite the dissident nature of Magia cotidiana, the translation was finally published without any suppression by the censorial apparatus, which confirms the progressive evolution of the dictatorial regime towards democracy.
