La complejidad de la traducción de los textos turísticos en los binominos francés-español e inglés-español

Zusammenfassung

This paper aims to describe the main difficulties of tourist translation for the linguistic pairs French-Spanish and English-Spanish. The study presents a global perspective to approach specialized translation, as well as to develop linguistic resources to improve the target texts (TTs). As a result, this paper is divided into different sections: firstly, a brief introduction to the concept of `tourism’ and the heterogeneity of tourist translation is provided. Secondly, we study a series of linguistic aspects that are important for this type of specialized translation for both French into Spanish and English into Spanish, by analysing aspects including adjectives, new Anglicisms, metaphors and metonymies, and collocations. Finally, some concluding remarks are presented.
