La tension dans le processus de grammaticalisation. Une contribution à la typologie phonétique des langues

Zusammenfassung

En este artículo, se presenta un esbozo de tipología fonética de lenguas a partir del parámetro de la tensión, definido y caracterizado por el Sistema verbo-tonal y que constituye un universal lingüístico habida cuenta de su carácter biológico. Así, partiendo de la tensión mínima, i.e. la distensión, asociada por el Sistema verbo-tonal al componente gramatical, se analizan en varias lenguas –inglés, chino, catalán, español, francés e italiano—distintas manifestaciones del proceso de gramaticalización como ejemplo prototípico de mecanismo de distensión operado en las lenguas y del que se ha señalado, en las investigaciones en ese ámbito, la iconicidad entre el plano de la expresión y el del contenido. Se ha parametrizado así desde el punto de vista acústico la erosión fónica, que constituye el correlato fonético de la desemantización inherente al proceso de gramaticalización, lo que ha permitido poner de manifiesto ciertos denominadores comunes interlingüísticos en la transición léxico à gramática, en particular en el plano prosódico, así como ciertas particularidades en las lenguas tomadas en cuenta en la investigación (enmudecimiento, diptongación, monoptongación) y, en última instancia, la escalaridad del proceso de gramaticalización y de la distensión en el plano fónico. Contemplada en una perspectiva didáctica, la escalaridad de las manifestaciones fónicas del proceso de gramaticalización permite caracterizar las realizaciones de una lengua como manifestaciones de un proceso de aprendizaje y precisar su grado de posible desviación.
