Abstract

19th century Europe is full of historical events which reflect the effervescence of the new political ideas, as a result, among others, of the French Revolution or the Napoleonic episode. In 1840, because of the timid legislative measures of decentralisation initiated by the July Monarchy, Louis-Marie de Lahaye de Cormenin (Timon) publishes De la centralisation: a compendium of reflections whose passionate discourse revises the History of France, organising the principles of an efficient centralisation. The Spanish translation, made in 1843 by the unknown D. R. S. and F. C., respects the sense of the original text and offers variations related to the form as well as to the concept, concerning to structures, lexical and terminological units
