Resumen

In any field of specialization, the use of phraseological units which characterizes the languages of specialisation in question and whose knowledge and mastery is relevant to the translation task, in as much as they bring greater spontaneity, accuracy and suitability to the target text. This research work focused on one type of specialized phraseological unit: phraseological syntagmas. The main purpose of this study is the examination, presentation and evaluation of the didactic activity carried out in the Scientific and Technical Translation classroom with a group of students. The task consisted in the analysis of specific constructions including the term "disease", in Spanish, and "maladie", in French (and derivatives), which present a certain degree of fixation and/or are characterized by being idiomatic elements. To conclude, the results obtained will be considered and examined in order to evaluate the usefulness and suitability of this learning activity and identify the difficulties that the students have encountered during its performance
