Abstract

This article has two different objectives: one is analysing Translation and Interpretation studies from a theoretical point of view and the other from the praxis. First, we are going to analyse the panorama of what it is called “community interpreting” in Spain, that is, translating for public services, and specially for the Police. For this reason, we study a genuine legal form that is regularly used at the Foreign Department of Córdoba´s Police Station (Spain). Our analysis starts with the extraction of specific terminology and translation/interpreting problems. Finally we also compile a glossary
