In the present study we aim to describe and evaluate the terminological needs of a French language teacher working in an Engineering School who is also required to act as interlinguistic mediator in a highly specialized field – that of rabbit production. This particular context raises several questions which we will try to respond to: Does being a language teacher necessarily mean that one is qualified to translate a specialized text? What would his or her terminological needs be? How should s/he carry out the task at hand?
