Abstract
The success of Voyages Extraordinaires by Jules Verne in Spain is proved by the amount and celerity of its translations. Lately, in the first third of the 20th century several adaptations were published in very different versions. The translations and adaptations of his most famous novels are numerous, but it is not the case with less known works such as Hector Servadac, voyages et aventures à travers le monde solaire (1877). After stating that a great number of translations can be found by different publishing companies, we have decided to review only those published during the author’s lifetime so as to focus on the study of all the adaptations.
