Abstract

The main aim of this work is to explore the learning of French pronunciation through singing and through performing a concert in the context of a learning/teaching experience at university level. After a brief overview of the use and exploitation of songs in the teaching of French as a foreign language, we will provide a detailed analysis and explanation of the aforementioned didactic activity. We will also propose an approach to the unconscious learning of phonetics and prosody through singing and live music. Finally, we will focus on examining more specific aspects of this experience connected to the use of theatrical techniques in the teaching of French and on the final concert performance.
