Explotación informática de una base de datos multilingüe de unidades fraseológicas

Abstract

This work describes the different steps taken by the research group FRASYTRAM in the elaboration of a multilingual database of idioms, specifically fixed verbal expressions by means of not only written (lexicographical phraseographical works) but oral sources. The aim is to show the potential of information and communication technologies and their application to databases. Computers and text analysis software applied to ICT will mean a revolution in the processing, selection, teaching and translation of these forms, since they allow systematization and classification, and facilitate their use and difussion. This database is of great use for translation and for teaching of languages, because it has the most frequently used verbal constructions, and therefore those that could belong to the paremiological minimum.
