Resumen

In this article we will set out a reading of the poem "Nodreix l’amor de pensaments i ausència" from a double approach of the notion of ‘absence’: first and foremost, we will broach some of the historical formulations on the subject of the ‘she beloved absent’ and the theories about love that are associated, in order to find out the rhetorical-expressive particularity of Maragall’s poem; secondly, we will consider the absence as a paradigm of poetic creation (in relation to the dialectics word/silence) and on the occasion of an association between some verses of the poem and astatement by Mallarmé.
