Abstract
If we accept the principle that it is impossible to teach a foreigh language without teaching its cultural aspect, when we talk about a class on civilization, it is absolutely necessary to make use of didactic methodology being adapted to the different kinds of public to which the lesson is directed. Within multiple culture and civilization teaching practices, it is important to give prorninence to the use of authentic documents such as comics (in French B.D.). due to their linguistic interest, comics have been largely used in language classes. Our aim consists in proposing a cultural and sociological analysis o€ two satirical comics and giving an example of their use in a class on civilization for future translators and interpreters.
