Abstract

Fictionality Shows by Diana I. Luque and Punto Muerto by Blanca Domenech are two short theater pieces that metaphorically dploy the urgency of our contemporary society, both through action and by means of the dialogues. Both plays offer a peculiar temporal dimension in the sense that they focus on the representation of the social. After exposing the main features of the acceleration of late Modernity following the theories of sociologists such as H.Rosa, this article explores how this representation of social can be analyzed in a dramatic text. With this purpose in mind, the article analyses in both texts the themes dealt with as well as the formal dimension of the dialogues so as to demonstrate how the plays represent the rush of social life an its effects upon the characters
