Resumen
This article analyses the experiences with time had by the characters in three plays by Abla Farhoud, a Canadian francophone playwright, who emigrated from Lebanon: Quand j’étais grande (1994), Les filles du 5-10- 15c (1993), and Jeux de patience (1997). This article shows how the characters, who have been through immigration and trauma because of war, experience the present, and have special perspectives on time with regard to their past and their future. The experiences of time are also metaphorically present in the structure of the plays, with the emergence of memories of the past. This article analyses how the three plays have three different conclusions that are three possible symbolic outcomes of their situation.
