Abstract

In this article we analyze students' appropriation of a new textual genre: audio description. We start from the application of a didactic sequence in French as a foreign language (FLE) class in an official language school, whose objective was the elaboration of an audio description script by means of external regulations (models of scripts in French and Spanish). This qualitative research focuses on the study of the initial and final products, i.e. the texts produced by the students in French, as well as a final questionnaire to determine their perception of this new genre. The students establish a direct relationship between the models, their discursive, structural, and linguistic characteristics, and their final written productions.
