Resumen
The correspondence of Antoine Perrenot, cardinal of Granvelle and minister of Charles V, is of significant historical and philological value. This correspondence, which is scattered in different European libraries, contains many letters written by women belonging to the House of Austria, such as Mary of Hungary, Margaret of Austria, or Margaret of Parma. In spite of the importance of these figures, only part of their correspondence has been published. Some of their letters were printed in the 19thcentury. However, these editions and the criteria that were followed to select the published letters should be reviewed. It is necessary to rediscover the original texts of the women of the House of Austria, who occupied positions of power in the 16thcentury and whose letters are essential for European history and for the history of women
