Abstract

This article analyses the adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s story, The Little Prince, to the comic strip by Joann Sfar. We review the creation’s context of the literary work and the task carried out by the author in the adaptation. We establish a theoretical framework with the advances in the research of the so-called 9th art in order to apply them in our study of the two works and, later, to analyse the implications of this adaptation for 21st century readers.
