Abstract

The purpose of the present paper is to report our positive teaching experience after the practical application of a type of cooperative learning methodology in a few subjects related to French as a first and second foreign language for future translators at the Autónoma University de Madrid. The paper presents the problems we had to face, the characteristics of the students involved, the methodology followed (work in small cooperative groups with different roles), and the competences and knowledge we wanted students acquire as established in their degree programs.
