One of the most significant characteristics of Boris Vian is, doubtlessly, the faculty to create unlikely collages and the ability of mixing all the arts. The adaptation of the novel to the comic supposes a real challenge at an aesthetic level, so suggestive in the novel thanks to the metaphors employed. So, which are the processes ensuring the persistence of the words’ symbolic power in the adaptation of Jean-David Morvan and Marion Mousse? In this article we will explore the similarities and differences, intertextual nods and interferences of both the novel and the comic adaptation of Colin and Chloé’s love story.
