Resumen
For the FFL teacher, literature provides a unique setting when it comes down to dealing with issues of identity and otherness, as well as a gate of access to the social and cultural universe and to a whole set of reflections on language learning. In France, the ongoing debate of the "death" of the "Francophonie" and the advent of a "littérature-monde" (world fiction) opens up new prospects foor the FFL teacher as regards the choice of authors and the latter's role as "passeurs culturels" in the FFL class.
