Abstract
The proverbs which fall into the so-called weather proverb are, besides those refering to atmospheric phenomena, the sentencious sayings that show the influence of the stars on mankind, animals and crops and talk about the different activities performed by living beings. Thus, the name weather proverb does not appear to be the most suitable to characterize this paremiological family.
