Abstract
The presence of Spain in the French literature of the years 1920-1930 can be summarized in two groups: that of the authors interested in the personal and sentimental aspects, and that of those committed to the evolution of religion and politics of the warlike events. Valery Larbaud and Henry de Montherlant represent the first group; Georges Bernanos and André Malraux the second one. This article analyses a text from each author in order to elucidate the function of Spain in his imaginary world.
