Sustainable development goals

Abstract

Starting from a review of the features connected with learning strategies and with the competencies to develop in the target language, we apply reading procedures based on a Global Approach to a text extracted from the digital press. The pedagogical implementations shown are focused on reading techniques that guarantee a correct comprehension and a greater autonomy of the student in the acquisition of this skill. The strategies presented can be applied to other fields of education, and are valid as much for teachers as for students. Instructors will be able to modify and adapt the activities according to their audiences (level of language, objectives, interests), whereas students will be able to become more independent after they improve their reading competence, which will than be applicable to texts in other formats and media.
