Abstract

The Erasmus+ ALTA (Allophone Teacher Academy) is a European initiative whose main objective is to strengthen the training of educators in teaching allophone learners. The present research is based on the hypothesis that teacher preparation has a significant influence on the linguistic, social and emotional integration of allophone students. The essential purpose of the study is to develop and apply a questionnaire aimed at assessing the knowledge and perceptions of primary and secondary school teachers in the Region of Murcia in relation to the teaching of allophone students, as well as the methodologies they use. The methodology adopted is characterised by a mixed approach. The results are expected to identify areas for improvement in teacher training and to propose effective teaching strategies to help optimise the education of allophone learners in multilingual contexts.
